For Eg: Lets say Vehicles OBDII port Harness is shorted to the ground or Positive then if you connect some other scanner to OBDII port high current might flow via the scanner by destroying it..in such a case if short circuit Current exceeds over 100mA then my short circuit protection box Automatically disconnects from car protecting the both Vehicle and the Scanner.
